As The Living Ground grows,
so does everyone
who touches it.
Bryant & Co. Foundation was forged through wildfire response in 2025, but we recognized the real crisis ahead: the collapse of global food systems. We are a disaster prevention organization, equipping communities with sustainable farming, land stewardship, and food sovereignty before the next crisis hits. We are building resilience now so communities do not have to react later.
we came from.
J. Bryant worked on the ground in the Eaton and Palisades fires, including Malibu, for ten months before and after FEMA arrived. That experience made one thing clear: disaster relief is not enough. The world demands something more forward-thinking, more resilient, and built to last far beyond any single crisis. That is what this foundation is.
Everything we do,
we teach.
Every activity on The Living Ground is simultaneously an educational program. From soil science to agritourism to real estate development, if we are doing it, we are teaching it. That is the model. That is the mission.
Hands-on farming education rooted in soil health, water systems, and seed-to-table food cycles. Built to be replicated anywhere.
Equine care, livestock management, and the relationship between animals and the land. Taught on real farms with real animals.
Mobile farm education that comes directly to communities. Workshops, live animals, cooking classes, and farm-to-table experiences brought right to your block.
Real estate development, property management, and farm buildout are all documented and taught. Business development is part of the curriculum.
Film production, music creation, and media storytelling are woven into the educational model. Creative expression is a form of land stewardship too.
Domestic and international partners running the same model. From Indiana to Malawi to Zimbabwe, the blueprint travels wherever the people are ready for it.
"Education should be lived and experienced, not just taught."
We work with people from urban and rural backgrounds alike, creating access to experiences and knowledge that have historically been out of reach. Real learning happens in real environments, with real land, real tools, and real people working alongside you.
We are not building a classroom. We are building a living, working ecosystem where the land itself is the curriculum, and every person who comes through it leaves with something they can use, teach, and pass on.
Two horses.
One direction.
The nonprofit and for-profit entities run in tandem, fast and hard, toward the same mission. Every for-profit activity funds and informs nonprofit programming. Every nonprofit program amplifies the reach of the farm.
Operations, agritourism, the Cool Bus, the 24/7 farm stand, and the consignment network. Revenue flows back into the mission.
